Alien Planet

These small unnamed creatures live on a distant planet just beyond pluto. They either live in the small bumps in the planet's large mushroom like trees or large, blue spheres that protrude from it created by these creatures. The planet itself is a pinkish black that is covered in gaseous swirls that would kill any other creature but somehow these can block out the toxins that seep from the planets ground level. Each blue protrusion may hold up to 100,000 creatures and contain shops and other necessities and entertainment kind of like large cities while the ones who live in the bumps are the rural to suburban areas. They are scavengers that collect bits of valuable space rock and sell them to other planets for food and other important provisions. They are not a violent race, in fact they are quite shy. Most of their trade is done on computers and no actual physical contact between two races is ever made. They enjoy the Earthian past time of "television" and spend their free time watching their Earthian TVs that they wired to be able to show all the television programs that the humans can view. They are quite intelligent but don't do much for others with their intellect. Instead they just increase the security on their planet's computer based army and hide away in their homes, rarely to be seen by anything or anyone else.

Artist Statement

Photography makes me feel so free. I enjoy taking photographs because I just love trying to bring my world into an image. I started out just enjoying nature shots and macro photography but as time has gone on I enjoy taking human photography more and more. I believe that when I graduate I would like to be a hobbyist photographer with the main profession of Veterinarian.

My current work is going to Conventions and snapping photos of various people in costume and trying to capture their character as best as I can. I need to work on my ability to pose people and proper positioning for the best result. I love bright colors and sharp crisp images with a blurred out background. I also enjoy working with just my camera, while I can and will work with others they just aren't as enjoyable to use.

I would like to save up my money to purchase better equipment for my camera so I can go further with my images and hopefully by the time my next convention rolls by I can start offering free to low cost photoshoots to whoever wants them. I also would like to gain better settings and objects to have photoshoots at my own house.
